Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an experienced Composite Prototype Technician II (2nd shift) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Vehicle Engineering organization. Position is in Melbourne, Florida. Responsibilities Include: Composite material part layup and fabrication Fabrication, layup, coating, and operations of CNC machines, ovens and autoclaves Operates hand tools including drills, routers, and saws in high precision manufacturing processes including computer interface controls and light-duty bench or floor type machine tools Operates forklifts Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances Basic Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience Preferred Qualifications: Experience laying up and fabricating composite parts.
