Responsible for the aggregation and review of quality data, preparation of reports for presentation and distribution. Administrative support for Quality and Risk Management with data entry, general correspondence and meeting minutes. Credentials all physicians and allied health professionals in conjunction with Health Support Center (HSC) Credentialing Team. Serves as Coordinator for the Stroke Program.
Reports to: Director of QA/RM/PI
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, organizational skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Familiarity with the medical record, DRGs and diagnoses desired. Knowledge of medical terminology required.
Proficiency in use of computers and software programs such as Power Point, Excel, Word, and Outlook. Proficiency with database management
Required License/Certification
Licenses: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of VA, or Compact licensure as an RN which includes the Commonwealth or VA, and in good standing with the Board of Health Professions.
Minimum Work Experience
Two years of previous experience in an acute care setting required, preferably critical care or emergency medicine.
