Role: Quality Assurance Manager - Food Industry

Location: On-site, Bala

Salary: £50,000

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

Role Overview:

As the gatekeeper of product quality, this role leads the Quality Assurance team and ensures the site remains factory visit-ready at all times. You’ll be central to complaint investigations, audit readiness, product benchmarking, and cross-functional quality initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and development of QA staff
  • Management of audit schedules (internal and external)
  • Ensuring BRCGS and customer audit readiness
  • Investigating complaints and driving root cause actions
  • Supporting GMP improvements and quality standards across the site
  • Cross-functional communication with Production, NPD, Purchasing, Technical, Commercial, and external agencies
  • Participation in HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP teams

Ideal Candidate:

  • 2+ years in a technical/QA role within the food industry
  • Strong communication and administrative skills
  • Experience with retailer Codes of Practice (Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Aldi, etc.)
  • HACCP & Food Hygiene qualified
  • Computer literate and confident using Microsoft Office
  • Motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive
