Role: Quality Assurance Manager - Food Industry
Location: On-site, Bala
Salary: £50,000
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
Role Overview:
As the gatekeeper of product quality, this role leads the Quality Assurance team and ensures the site remains factory visit-ready at all times. You’ll be central to complaint investigations, audit readiness, product benchmarking, and cross-functional quality initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and development of QA staff
- Management of audit schedules (internal and external)
- Ensuring BRCGS and customer audit readiness
- Investigating complaints and driving root cause actions
- Supporting GMP improvements and quality standards across the site
- Cross-functional communication with Production, NPD, Purchasing, Technical, Commercial, and external agencies
- Participation in HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP teams
Ideal Candidate:
- 2+ years in a technical/QA role within the food industry
- Strong communication and administrative skills
- Experience with retailer Codes of Practice (Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Aldi, etc.)
- HACCP & Food Hygiene qualified
- Computer literate and confident using Microsoft Office
- Motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive
