Business Intelligence Analyst / Power BI Developer
Hybrid Working Pattern
My Financial Services client is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to help deliver their strategic vision. You’d be joining an expanding Data Team, at an exciting time within the Bank’s growth strategy. The role is to provide insight and data to our internal customers, distributors, and external stakeholders, whether this be high-level interactive performance indicators and dashboards, or detailed data extracts. One of the key technical skillsets will be the ability to produce engaging data visualisations in Power BI but you’ll also be adept at data validation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with the Head of Data, Senior Business Intelligence Analysts, and the rest of the Technology team to develop new reporting required to support business change initiatives, as well as to optimise all Data solutions available via our central Data Platform, through understanding stakeholder needs, current data flows/models, and being able to convert these efficiently into accurate, new or enhanced outputs;
- Ensuring that BAU/small change data delivery consistently meets the expectations of our stakeholders/ customers;
- Playing a supporting role in educating super users in the data available, and the use of data visualisation and analysis solutions, reducing manual effort and data exposure;
- Working with the necessary stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, conducting the necessary detailed review of individual data items, through to enabling more automated validation to support more efficient change delivery;
- Documenting model designs, including defining opportunities for improvements, and working the rest of the Data Team to deliver these
Skills and Experience
- Skills designing MI/BI solutions in PowerBI;
- Expertise in best practice in relation to Power BI model development, reporting design and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver data solutions;
- Experience working as a Business Intelligence Analyst / Data Analyst / Business Analyst;
- Knowledge of MS Azure Modern Data Warehouse Architecture;
- Knowledge and experience of writing SQL queries
