Assistant Management Accountant

Mitchell Adam are excited to announce their new collaboration with an established organisation in the Retail sector Birmingham City Centre. The organisation has continued to expand in their field and has recently relocated to their new modern offices in the fantastic Birmingham Business District. This organisation are seeking to bring on a talented Assistant Management Accountant into the team and provide a tremendous study support package and hybrid working for their employees. Their offices are a short walk from New Street and Snowhill station and their subsidised car parking ensures that their offices are very accessible.

This organisation has expanded at a healthy rate for a number of years, they're seeking to bring on an ambitious individual who has aims to continue with their development. As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will be working closely with a Management Accountant who will be able to assist with your development and help you take on new responsibilities. Your core responsibilities will include posting journals such as accruals and prepayments and completing reconciliations on the balance sheet. You will also gradually take on new responsibilities with the aim of eventually producing the monthly management accounts. You will be involved in senior financial meetings and liaise with external budget holders and gain experience in having conversations with non-financial and financial stakeholders.

• To have a strong level of communication skills, as in this role you will be liaising with a number of internal and external stakeholders.
• To be confident and ambitious, this role has a fantastic pathway to becoming a Management Accountant if you are able to produce a high quality of work.
• To be either currently studying your ACCA or CIMA qualification, or to have strong ambitions to complete one of these qualifications.
• To have experience with posting journals such as accruals and prepayments and to have completed reconciliations on both the bank and balance sheet.
