Mitchell Adam are excited to be recruiting for an Assistant Accountant role based in Birmingham City Centre. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join a growing team. In this part-time, remote role, you will work closely with the Financial Controller to support the smooth running of our finance department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their accounting skills in a flexible work environment.
This role will provide you with exposure to: preparing and processing financial transactions, including reconciliations and journal entries, assisting the Financial Controller with month-end and year-end processes, supporting with budgeting and forecasting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You will also need to be a hardworking and motivated candidate, willing to go the extra mile when needed.
What you'll need:
- Be studying towards your professional accounting qualifications.
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance role, with exposure to a wide range of duties.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in accounting software and the willingness to learn new software you may encounter in the future.
