We are seeking a diligent and detail-orientated Payroll Officer to support the Senior Payroll Supervisor with processing monthly payrolls within an accurate and strict time frame. The successful candidate will handle various tasks related to Payroll, ensuring all processes are completed accurately.

Description

Payroll Officer key duties will include:

  • Maintaining accurate and complete payroll records.
  • Following business policies and procedures when actioning payroll changes
  • Calculate and process pay adjustments on a timely basis
  • Honour confidentiality of employee's pay records
  • Identifies, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in T&A records and payroll records
  • Prepare, manipulate and interpret data to allow automatic upload into payroll system/help with strategic decision making
  • Weekly review of clocking system and reporting any differences
  • Manage the holiday and absence system, ensuring that all records are accurate and complete
  • To work with the internal auditors to ensure payroll variance are substantiated
  • Download HMRC notifications & apply them appropriately
  • Processing & uploading of overtime and time lost data
  • Process pension information on a timely basis and ensure all liabilities are settles
  • Understand reporting requirements and ensure we adhere to them, whilst settling any liabilities within deadlines

Profile

Payroll Officer will need:

  • Proven experience in a similar payroll role
  • All round Payroll exposure
  • Knowledge of payroll systems and software
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High level of integrity and discretion
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel

Job Offer

Immediate start

Leading to a permanent role

Monday - Thursday 8.00am - 5.00pm and finish at 1.00pm on Friday

2 days working from home
