Location: Flexible - Hybrid Working - Client, home and customer sites - Ideally someone based within an hour of Birmingham

Chapman Tate Associates seeks an Cloud Solutions Consultant to join this established IT Services Provider of Cloud and Associates Services, around Backup, Hosted IT Infrastructure and Cyber Essentials.

Working within an established and growing IT Managed Services team, this role will be pivotal in acting as a conduit between the Technical and Sales team, assisting a number of existing customers evangelise and transform their IT Infrastructures.

You will help deliver Cloud, Server/Storage, Networking and Virtualisation strategy-focused consulting and design services, helping clients develop their roadmap for adoption. As a Technical Pre-Sales Consultant you will have experience of various cloud architectures (Private, Public Cloud and Hybrid) and Cloud migration strategies.

You will have an good understanding of the different factors which influence or inhibit Cloud adoption and will be able to guide clients to make the right choices.

You will be pivotal in providing strategical advice for a number of internal and external stakeholders around Pre-sales support, Demos, Proof of Concepts, design work for IT Infrastructure environments and a subject matter expert for the Sales Team. You will work closely with the Technical and Sales teams advising them on best fit solutions and processes.

You will have a good breadth of knowledge around the Virtualisation and Cloud based ecosystem such as:

MS 365 and Azure:

-Focus on security, Endpoint Manager, servers, and the Business Premium/E3 stack.

Virtualization:

-Expertise in VMWare vSphere and Hyper-V.Storage:Experience with SANs, specifically HP MSA/Nimble and Dell MD.

Operating Systems:

Proficiency in Windows Server and Active Directory. Email Servers:

-Knowledge of Exchange Server.

Databases:

-Experience with SQL Server.

Networking:

-Proficient in switching, including dynamic routing and dynamic VLANs.

Security:

-Skills in firewalling and perimeter security, with a focus on next-gen firewalls.

Wi-Fi:

-Experience with enterprise-grade Wi-Fi solutions.

Communication Networks:

-Strong understanding of various communication networks, including leased lines, radio, FTTP, etc.

The role will also include work around the following (but not limited to):

  • Identify solution opportunities for software, hardware, cloud and services within the existing customer base and within new prospects
  • Create Solution Proposals
  • Work alongside Vendors such as VMware, Microsoft, HP, DELL/EMC around other opportunities that would benefit customers
  • Keep abreast of developments in compute, storage, cloud and virtualisation technologies as well as the wider ecosystem
  • Deliver client engagements, shaping their Cloud Strategies and creating roadmaps for migration
  • Expertly define, validate and promote quality solutions for an opportunity, bid or project as required
  • Promote the development and re-use of knowledge across the business as required

You will have excellent customer facing skills and must be able to hold your own in sales environments.
