Join an established and hands-on business as their standalone HR Manager in the Bolton area. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of the HR function, supporting a multi-site operation across the North West.
The Role:
As HR Manager, you will be responsible for the full employee lifecycle, ensuring HR policies align with legal requirements while fostering a strong company culture. You will also have the opportunity to lead improvements in HR processes and work with external partners on marketing coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing recruitment and onboarding, ensuring a seamless process for new employees.
- Handling employee relations, including disciplinaries, grievances, and appraisals.
- Advising senior leadership on employment law and best HR practices.
- Overseeing HR compliance, ensuring policies align with UK legislation.
- Recording and processing confidential employee information.
- Leading company-wide HR initiatives, driving engagement and retention.
- Working with an external marketing company to coordinate company marketing efforts.
About You:
- 3+ years of experience in an HR role, ideally within a standalone or SME environment.
- A proactive and organised professional, comfortable working independently.
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to handle challenging conversations.
- A practical, hands-on approach-comfortable with traditional HR processes but open to driving modernisation.
