Join an established and hands-on business as their standalone HR Manager in the Bolton area. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of the HR function, supporting a multi-site operation across the North West.

The Role:

As HR Manager, you will be responsible for the full employee lifecycle, ensuring HR policies align with legal requirements while fostering a strong company culture. You will also have the opportunity to lead improvements in HR processes and work with external partners on marketing coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing recruitment and onboarding, ensuring a seamless process for new employees.
  • Handling employee relations, including disciplinaries, grievances, and appraisals.
  • Advising senior leadership on employment law and best HR practices.
  • Overseeing HR compliance, ensuring policies align with UK legislation.
  • Recording and processing confidential employee information.
  • Leading company-wide HR initiatives, driving engagement and retention.
  • Working with an external marketing company to coordinate company marketing efforts.

About You:

  • 3+ years of experience in an HR role, ideally within a standalone or SME environment.
  • A proactive and organised professional, comfortable working independently.
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to handle challenging conversations.
  • A practical, hands-on approach-comfortable with traditional HR processes but open to driving modernisation.
