Description
Statutory accounts
- Preparation of the Group's interim and year end consolidated statutory accounts under IFRS
- Be the main contact for the auditors and ensure all deliverables are provided
- Be the main contact for the external accountants who prepare the statutory accounts for the subsidiaries and who prepare the tax computations and manage the process
- Research and keep up to date with the latest developments in accounting standards and evaluate their impact on the Group
Monthly management accounts
- Be responsible for the preparation of the monthly Group balance sheet and cash flow statement
- Preparation of the monthly PLC financial Board report
Other
- Cashflow management
- Responsibility for the payment of Corporation tax which includes calculating the quarterly instalment payments
- Review of the quarterly vat return prior to submission
- Preparation of the quarterly bank covenant report
- Undertake ad hoc finance-based project work and provide support to the Finance Director
Profile
- ACA or ACCA qualified, ideally having trained with a top 20 accountancy firm and worked as an auditor
- Up-to-date technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
- Statutory accounts preparation experience
- Experience of consolidations
- Strong Excel skills
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and numeracy
- Works on own initiative
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Strong teamwork ethos
- Ability to communicate detail clearly and concisely
