Description

Statutory accounts

  • Preparation of the Group's interim and year end consolidated statutory accounts under IFRS
  • Be the main contact for the auditors and ensure all deliverables are provided
  • Be the main contact for the external accountants who prepare the statutory accounts for the subsidiaries and who prepare the tax computations and manage the process
  • Research and keep up to date with the latest developments in accounting standards and evaluate their impact on the Group

Monthly management accounts

  • Be responsible for the preparation of the monthly Group balance sheet and cash flow statement
  • Preparation of the monthly PLC financial Board report

Other

  • Cashflow management
  • Responsibility for the payment of Corporation tax which includes calculating the quarterly instalment payments
  • Review of the quarterly vat return prior to submission
  • Preparation of the quarterly bank covenant report
  • Undertake ad hoc finance-based project work and provide support to the Finance Director

Profile

  • ACA or ACCA qualified, ideally having trained with a top 20 accountancy firm and worked as an auditor
  • Up-to-date technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
  • Statutory accounts preparation experience
  • Experience of consolidations
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and numeracy
  • Works on own initiative
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Strong teamwork ethos
  • Ability to communicate detail clearly and concisely
