Senior Practice Accountant

  • Full-time (37 hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of statutory financial statements
  • Preparation of corporation tax returns and computations
  • Preparation of management accounts and tax projections
  • Preparation and review of VAT returns and client bookkeeping
  • Monitoring and analysing client financial data
  • Providing excellent customer service and nurturing client relationships
  • Training and supporting junior accountants
  • Assisting with key tax planning for clients
  • Staying up to date with continuous professional development

Requirements

  • ACA or ACCA part qualified/qualified accountant or AAT with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in practice
  • Extensive experience in a large accountancy practice
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures (FRS 102 Section 1A knowledge is important but not essential)
  • Basic VAT knowledge and understanding
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to manage and develop client relationships
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in cloud accounting software and Microsoft Office
  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
