Challenging Behaviour Specialist - ASAP Start

There is an exciting opportunity to secure a position at a specialist school based in Bristol. This is a Special Educational Needs (SEN) role, specifically as a Challenging Behaviour Specialist. The school is looking for someone to support a small cohort of children who display challenging behaviour and have social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

Experience with SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and Team Teach training is ideal for this role. The position will begin ASAP.

Challenging Behaviour Specialist Role Overview

  • Support children with a range of special educational needs, including ADHD, ASD, dyslexia, and SEMH
  • Manage challenging behaviour and help children develop emotional regulation skills
  • Work 1:1 and in small groups to address individual needs
  • Gain valuable experience in a supportive education and training environment

Candidate Requirements

  • A degree (2:2 or above) is desirable
  • Experience working with Special Educational Needs such as Autism, ADHD, dyslexia, SEMH, or similar conditions
  • Confidence and experience managing challenging behaviour
  • Team Teach training would be very desirable for this role
  • Minimum of Maths and English at GCSE graded C or above
  • Will need to provide references covering the previous 2 years of employment
  • Must have an Enhanced DBS check or be willing to obtain one
