Job Advert: Sales Ledger Administrator

Purpose of the Role:
We are seeking a Sales Ledger Administrator to join our Finance team on a 3-month fixed-term contract to assist during the busy enrolment period at the college. The successful candidate will help manage various finance-related tasks, ensuring smooth operations and excellent service to our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with bus pass queries, including raising vouchers for successful bursary applications.
  • Liaise with the Bursary team regarding financial assistance applications and requests.
  • Manage the Bus Pass email inbox.
  • Input student information into the Finance software accurately and efficiently.
  • Undertake other necessary duties related to this post, demonstrating flexibility in undertaking the role.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times.
  • Comply with legal and industry guidelines, such as the Data Protection Act (GDPR).
  • Resolve queries from customers via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
Person Specification:
  • Experience with computerized accounting systems and database software.
  • Proven experience working in a team environment within a finance department.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with colleagues and students at all levels.
  • Strong self-management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, using initiative and being flexible and adaptable.
  • Ability to perform routine tasks with minimal supervision and communicate any issues promptly.
