Our client, based in Cannock, is seeking a dedicated Finance Officer to join their team and contribute to their ambitious growth plans. This role involves a wide range of financial responsibilities, from day-to-day operations to strategic financial planning.

The Role:

As a Finance Officer, you will:

  • Handle daily processing activities, including international payments, purchase invoices, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and conduct month-end process reviews.
  • Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting efforts.
  • Review cash flow and produce monthly board packs with commentary.
  • Manage VAT returns and prepare year-end audit information.
  • Analyse financial performance and advise management on financial decisions.

The Candidate:

The ideal Finance Officer will:

  • Have experience in crafting financial strategies and working collaboratively within a finance team.
  • Be well-organised with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in month-end close activities and process improvements.
  • Possess a proactive attitude and bring new ideas to drive business growth.
  • Be familiar with budgeting, cash flow management, and forecasting.
