Step Resourcing are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a Principal Contractor / Developer based in Chatham Kent.
The role is suited to an individual who has either 1 years post graduate experience, but is also open to candidates on university day release programmes, looking to gain practical experience.
The successful candidate will take on the role as the companies Quantity Surveyor / Buyer and will be reporting to the Commercial Director.
Key duties will include:
- Managing trade packages with subcontractors, agreeing pricing, scope of works, payment and agreeing final accounts
- Review of main suppliers, negotiating for the best deals
- Managing day to day cost reporting
- Site visits to assess and monitor progress
You will be working alongside and part of an experienced and hard working team. You will be mainly be office based in Chatham, however travel site is required.

Salary from £25,000 to £40,000 dependent on experience
