GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a passionate and progressive legal firm in Cheltenham who specialise in a multitude of legal services. We are recruiting an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor to join their ambitious team on a full time, permanent basis.
The position is office-based, working 37.5 hours per week, and offers a highly competitive salary. This is a great opportunity to join an outstanding firm that is renowned for providing excellent service to clients.
The ideal candidate must be a qualified Solicitor or a Chartered Legal Executive with 5 years’ PQE and be a very organised individual with the ability to manage a high-volume caseload of residential property sales.
Commercial Property Solicitor main duties:
- Manage a range of property matters from initial instruction through to matter conclusion
- Opening files and progressing matters
- Providing cost estimates to new clients
- Undertaking business development activities
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and Solicitors in a professional and timely manner
- Use your technical experience and knowledge to support & mentor the wider team as required
Commercial Property Solicitor desired skills and experience:
- A breadth and depth of residential property experience and capable of handling a varied caseload.
- Ideally you will be a qualified Solicitor/CILEX with 5 years + PQE (however this does not preclude those applying with more or less experience)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- IT literate and proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Outlook etc.) and experience of using a case management system such as Proclaim
- Commercially aware with a good understanding of business development activities, established contacts/client following desirable
- A good understanding of compliance and risk
- Experience of coaching and mentoring team members
