Seven Resourcing are looking for a Lawyer Advocate to work on an interim basis with Gloucestershire County Council for an initial period of 7 months.

Up to £43.12 Per Hour (PAYE) or £55 Per Hour (Umbrella)

The Job-

Experienced contracts and procurement lawyer who can assist the team on drafting and advising on all types of contracts, subsidy control, procurement issues etc. Has the ability to hold a diverse case load and be able to work to tight deadlines.

You will be part of small but multi-disciplined team which provides a friendly supportive work environment that encourages personal growth and supports career progression.

  • Undertake advocacy and represent the Council in the Court arena.
  • To represent Legal Services, the Council and external clients in meetings, including committee and member meetings, inquiries and working groups and in discussions with other legal practitioners at an appropriate level as and when required

Applicant Requirements-

  • Experience of undertaking advocacy in court together with contested hearings requiring the cross examination of witnesses in court.
  • Qualified barrister, Solicitor or a Chartered Legal Executive
  • Membership of the relevant professional body
