Role ResponsibilitiesAs a Liability Claims Handler you will:
  • Manage your own caseload of Liability claims, including Employers Liability, Personal Liability, and Commercial claims of varying values.
  • Establish robust relationships with clients built on trust, respect, and efficient service delivery.
  • Gather all necessary evidence, understand the full details of policy cover, and ensure the customer is fully aware of their liability.
  • Negotiate fair settlements, handle pushbacks, and manage claims to swift resolution.
  • Liaise with third parties involved in the claim and maintain high levels of service delivery.
About YouThe ideal candidate for this position will have demonstrated:
  • Prior exposure to Liability claims, however strong candidates from other claims backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
  • An insurance qualification such as the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) or equivalent (support for studies is available).
  • Experience in end-to-end caseload management.
  • Ability to prioritise claims, act on instructions and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and adapt to a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) target environment.
  • Knowledge or awareness of Financial Services Authority (FSA) procedures and the Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) initiative.
  • Excellent customer service, organisational, and communication skills.
