We are seeking a proactive and experienced HR Advisor to join our clients team in Edinburgh. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a well-respected professional services firm, providing comprehensive HR support across the business. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting HR operations, driving employee engagement, and driving a positive work culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on a variety of HR matters, including performance management, employee relations, absence management, and employee well-being.
  • Collaborate with senior HR leaders to support recruitment processes, from job requisitions to onboarding.
  • Manage employee lifecycle activities, including induction, probation, and exit interviews, ensuring all HR processes are conducted smoothly and professionally.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR policies, ensuring compliance with employment law and best practices.
  • Assist in performance review cycles, training, and development initiatives, helping to identify skills gaps and training needs within the business.
  • Act as a point of contact for HR-related queries and ensure the timely resolution of employee issues and concerns.
  • Work with the wider HR team on strategic initiatives and projects to improve employee engagement and enhance the overall HR service.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an HR Advisor or similar role, ideally within a professional services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused approach to handling HR issues.
  • CIPD qualification or working towards one would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
