We are Dufrain, a pure-play data consultancy delivering professional services to a range of large enterprise clients in data-rich industries. We have an opportunity for an HR Advisor to join the People Team on a maternity cover fixed term contract.

The People team plays a critical role in shaping and executing our strategy to support the company's growth, drive organisational excellence, and foster a positive and inclusive work culture. The HR Advisor will work as a key member of the People Team to partner closely with all levels of Dufrain to develop and implement innovative people initiatives that attract, develop, and retain top talent.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as a point of contact for all HR related queries. Providing advice, guidance and interpretation to all departments on all people issues.
  • Management of, supporting and advising People Coach’s (Line Managers) in employee relation situations to minimising risk to the business, namely disciplinary, grievance, performance issues, maternity, paternity, sickness absence, probation etc, escalating any issues where necessary to the Head of People.
  • Conduct inductions & exit interviews for employees.
  • Provide advice and guidance on the content and application of People policies and procedures to employees across the Company
  • Collate and analyse People data to produce regular reports, including salary, annual leave, headcount, attrition etc. This will include using this data to ensure that Dufrain are actively managing any risk and trends and escalating this to the Head of People as and when required.
  • Support the Head of People in running the performance process. This will include setting up Bob (our HR system), creating timelines, employee communication, calibration preparations and administrative updates.
  • Support and when appropriate execute change initiatives, also coordinate key projects including diversity and retention initiatives
  • Identify and propose improvements to policy or processes to enhance employee experience
  • Undertake administration tasks of all People processes such as onboarding, offboarding, contractual changes, benefits management and feeding into our Finance team on any payroll related information.
  • Updating employment records with any contractual changes and sending out communications to our employees.
  • Champion and support colleague development, ensuring that any sessions are co-ordinated and information is correctly recorded.

ABOUT YOU

Essential experience

  • Employee relations expertise including planning, managing and risk mitigation of employment cases.
  • HR systems and process knowledge, together with a thorough understanding of current employment law.
  • Previous experience in a People (HR) generalist role at Advisor level; experience in professional services/consultancy is advantageous
  • Confident in the use of Excel to manipulate and analyse data
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating professionalism in all dealings
  • Ability to act with tact, diplomacy and discretion when dealing with sensitive matters
  • Confident, with a proactive attitude
  • Ability to multi-task and keep calm under pressure
  • Pro-actively seeking areas for improvement and presenting solutions
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • A self-starter, able to demonstrate high levels of initiative and motivation
  • Ability to manage assigned tasks in an assertive, efficient and timely manner
  • Proven ability to provide a customer focused service

Desirable

  • CIPD or part CIPD qualified or have the desire to study for the CIPD qualification.
  • Commercial understanding of the business and how HR can enhance performance via the people agenda
  • Previous experience of using Bob the HRIS
