The role will be based in the companies head office on the outskirts of Edinburgh on a hybrid basis and will involve a small amount of traveling to various locations across the east of the central belt.

The role holder will report to the head of human resources and has come about due to a temporary re-structure to the department.

The ResponsibilitiesThe purpose of this role is to be an HR advisor/subject matter expert to a number of divisions within the organisation (6 to be precise). You will be the first point of contact for your stakeholder group when it comes to employee relations advice, sickness and attendance as well as grievance procedures.

On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following;Understand internal HR policies and procedures and ensure that these are effectively and efficiently communicated to your stakeholder groups.Support your stakeholder`s in relation to recruitment, recruitment best practice and the onboarding/inducting of new staff.Support the HR information system in the administration of employee data ensuring that contractual changes are reflected in the system (such as pay rises and notice periods).Communication to the widder business and proactively ensure that compliance with procedures is maintained.Actively support line managers in the process of disciplinary, termination and other ER based activities.

The RequirementsWe are looking for an experienced HR advisor who is either CIPD qualified or CIPD part qualified. The candidate will be experienced with working with colleagues and mangers throughout the organisation and be well versed in building strong working relationships. Strong communication skills in both written and verbal form will be crucial for this role, as would excellent organisational competencies. The role will require travel to various out with the head office, so a drivers license and vehicle are also essential to be considered for the role.
