We are looking for an experienced, adaptable HR Business Partner for a leading veterinary services provider, to support the region of Scotland and NI.

We are seeking a confident, agile HRBP to support the ops and leadership teams across the region. This structure of support is relatively new to the business, as such, processes, policies, and other activities are still being developed, so this is an excellent time to join the business to make an impact. You will support many leaders from a clinical background, so relationship-building, building trust, and influencing skills will be very important in this role.

You will report to the Head of People but will work very closely with the Regional Director, Area Managers and Area Support Managers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide advice and influence to business leaders on people/business-related matters, using data and analytics to drive effective decision-making.
  • Effective and timely use of data analytics to provide insight, which underpins effective decision-making and interventions across the business
  • Work collaboratively with the Talent Partners to enable effective workforce forecasting, planning and mobilisation, through effective attraction strategies
  • Play a key role in the development and delivery of the growth strategy identifying people-related USPs and people challenges together with ways to resolve them
  • Coach leaders to make decisions that have a broad positive impact on colleague engagement and retention, through listening and effective engagement planning

Essential experience and attributes:

  • Experience in an HR Business Partner role, ideally within a clinical environment
  • The ability to coach leaders in people management
  • Experience working in a multi-site environment
  • Be prepared to become hands-on, as well as strategic, as and where necessary
  • Adaptability

This role is 50% travel and 50% home-based, but the successful candidate must live in Scotland (ideally Central Belt). The role will include occasional to Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man.
