Are you an experienced leader with a passion for supporting children and young people with social, emotional, and mental health challenges? We have an exciting opportunity for you to lead a new provision in a beautiful part of Devon.

About Us: We are a new educational provision with two sites in Devon, catering to pupils with emotionally based school avoidance and anxiety linked to autism. Our first site, opening soon, will support up to 30 pupils from Year 3 to Year 11. We are looking for someone who is ready to make an impact on our children's lives socially, emotionally and academically. 

Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic, innovative, and experienced practitioner to shape, develop, and lead our dedicated team. As the Head of Provision, you will be responsible for the operational management and overall success of the site, ensuring that every pupil receives the highest quality of education and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide visionary leadership to the staff team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive the provision forward, in alignment with our ethos and values.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations, including staffing, budget management, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive environment where every pupil feels valued, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
  • Establish strong partnerships with parents, carers, external agencies, and the wider community to enhance the educational experience and outcomes for our students.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the provision, using data and evidence-based practice to inform decision-making and drive improvements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant postgraduate qualifications.
  • Substantial experience working with children and young people with SEMH needs, ideally within a secondary school setting.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organisational and strategic planning abilities, with a track record of delivering results and driving positive change.
