A returning client of ours within the aviation industry is looking for a detail-oriented and Part Qualified Management Accountant with a passion for excellence and a flair for numbers. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth financial operations within our dynamic airport environment, where safety and efficiency are paramount. The successful candidate will be part of a team dedicated to delivering sustainable growth and profitability.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assist in the delivery of a timely month-end process, including prepayments, accruals, depreciation, posting journals, and variance analysis.
  • Take ownership of balance sheet reconciliations for review and sign-off by senior management monthly.
  • Manage intercompany recharges, invoices, and balance agreements.
  • Maintain the Fixed Assets Register and produce quarterly fuel scale charge analysis for VAT submissions.
  • Produce quarterly VAT returns and assist in the annual budget and quarterly re-forecast production.
  • Support the annual audit process and respond to corporation tax return queries.
  • Complete ONS and other mandatory surveys promptly.
  • Resolve balance sheet queries in liaison with AP/AR.
  • Handle petty cash postings and credit card postings.
  • Update overhead expense rolling reports and deliver ad-hoc analysis/projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Numerate and analytical with excellent data analysis skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet tight reporting deadlines.
  • SAP (Fiori) experience is essential.
  • Familiarity with multiple business units and experience collaborating with external stakeholders.
  • Part Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA (Finalist) or a graduate with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a fast-paced operational environment.
