Are you a skilled Electrical Technician seeking your next challenge?We have an exciting opportunity to join our longstanding client's fuel storage and operations team, where you'll play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the electrical systems vital to their fuel storage infrastructure.Job Title: Electrical TechnicianLocation: Hemel Hempstead Job Type: Permanent Salary: £32,000 - £37,000 + £1,247 Standby Allowance + Overtime AvailableThe Role

  • Responsible for the delivery of planned and corrective maintenance and inspection tasks at allocated sites in accordance with set targets including the upkeep of the computerised maintenance management systems and plant history files.
  • Fulfil the role of Authorised Electrical Person including authorisation for HV working.
  • Provide operational support as may be required from time to time and respond to emergency situations including dealing with emergency authorities and statutory bodies.
  • Identify requirements and monitor the availability of spare equipment, components and materials to ensure critical plant and equipment can be sustained in the event of foreseeable breakdowns.
  • Obtain quotations and raise orders for goods and services required for maintenance and inspection responsibilities in accordance with the company purchasing system and budget constraints.
  • Supervise colleagues and contractors in safe systems of work, including risk assessment and gas testing procedures and issuing isolation certificates. This includes deputising as Operating Authority when required.
  • Provide on the job training and support to new staff and sub-ordinates updating training records, training plans and competency assessments as required.
  • Identify and prepare work scopes and justifications for engineering project works to enhance, modify or replace existing plant and equipment ensuring integrity is maintained and equipment is supportable.
  • Act as a focal point for engineering projects having an input into design and installation works to ensure projects are planned and completed with due regard to requirements for safety and operations.
  • Deputise for the Electrical Supervisor during periods of absence.
  • Participate and contribute positively to company working groups and committees.

Experienced Required- ONC level electrical qualification and experience of working in an industrial electrical maintenance environment.- Knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations.- Experience of supervising staff and contractors completing electrical maintenance and installation work in an industrial environment.- Recent experience of completing 'hands-on' maintenance and fault finding on electrical plant and equipment.- Full driving licenceDesirable - Experience of maintenance and fault finding on control and instrumentation systems including PLC's., Certified electrical apprenticeship, CompEx qualification for hazardous area equipment.Package - Private Medical Insurance, 6-12% Pension Contribution, Life Assurance, Company Van + Yearly BonusPlease apply to Kellie Dance - RHL RecruitmentRHL (Recruitment Holdings Ltd) act as an Employment Agency and an Employment Business
