Great role for an Electrical Engineer looking to gain exposure into a data centre environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to critical systems, high end contract and be part of a fantastic maintenance team. You will gain valuable career experience, additional training, and the chance to progress internally. This is a static role, following a continental shift pattern, days and night shiftAs a Data Centre Engineer, you will carry out PPM and reactive maintenance, troubleshoot and actively fault find, ensure all critical systems are running efficiently, liaise with subcontractors, and ensure you are representing the company in a positive manner.To be successful in the Data Centre Engineer role, you must be fully qualified in Electrical installations / engineering (City and Guilds or equivelnt), at least 3 years experience in commercial maintenance, live within commutable distance and to work well as part of a team and individually. Data Centre Engineer:

  • PPMs & Reactive maintenance
  • Single and Three Phase Power, Motors, Generators (on/off load tests), UPS, LV/HV switching, Shutdowns, Switchgear, Motors, Emergency Lighting, Fire Alarm Test, AHUs, FCUs, VAVs, CRAC units, Sprinkler Systems, Pumps, Belts, Bearings, Seals, BMS Operation
  • Carry out isolation of plant and systems in accordance with safety requirements.
  • Ensure corrective/repair works are carried out in accordance with regulations.
  • Endorse safe working practices, quality standards conformity and best practice methods.
  • Organising subcontractors
  • Completing logbooks and RAMS
  • Reports
  • Liaising with client representatives in respect of corrective repair works.
  • Permits to work
  • Raise and close jobs on PDA's as necessary.

Data Centre Requirements:

  • City & Guilds / NVQ (or equivalent) qualification in Electrical Installations
  • Client Facing with great communication skills
  • Building Services Maintenance experience
  • Career driven and motivated
  • Polite and personable
