An exciting opportunity to join a multinational organisation within the energy/utilities space, as their Head of Engagement and Capability for the procurement team, has just become available. This is a brand new position within the organisation as they look to dramatically increase their size and capability across the procurement function.

You will be responsible for the strategic implementation and continued development of the new Engagement & Capability agenda, including a new competency model and framework, of which certain elements (and training material) have already been developed. Also within scope of the position falls employee retention and recruitment initiatives, and the individual operating in this position will be able to expand the responsibilities and direction of the team generally (2 direct, 2 indirect reports) beyond the initial remit.

Experience / Requirements

  • Prior experience performing similar duties, whether as a stand alone role or as part of a wider remit, is absolutely essential. It is not essential that these duties have been performed in a procurement, supply chain or commercial management function - but such experience would likely be advantageous.
  • Prior experience with direct team management
  • Prior experience building high-performing teams; implementing and developing appropriate, strategies, resources and pathways to ensure individual and collective success.
  • Excellent Influencing, negotiation & stakeholder management experience across a spectrum of seniority's.
