In-House Property Lawyer

A professional membership body based in Warwickshire, is looking to recruit an experienced residential property lawyer to join their team.

The role is offered on a hybrid basis working 3 days per week in the office and 2 days remote.

The role will focus on collaborating with colleagues to handle a diverse caseload of legal property enquiries, including advising on litigation, process and procedures, as well as HMOs, Right to Rent, service of notices and AST clauses.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a varied caseload of property legal queries, including landlord and tenant disputes, lease renewals, sale and purchase, Right to Rent, HMOs, Tenant Fees Act, Housing health and safety rating system (HHSRS), amongst others.
  • Providing advice regarding court proceedings.
  • Conducting thorough legal research and developing effective case strategies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to deliver comprehensive legal services.

Applications are sought from qualified Solicitors who have 1-3 years PQE in Landlord & Tenant work and Property Litigation. A good understanding of all legislation relating to the Housing Act, including Right to Rent, HMOs, Rent Reform Act, Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2018, Tenant Fees Act is also required along with strong litigation skills.
