SEN Teacher - Immediate Start (Long-Term or Permanent)
We are urgently seeking a qualified SEN Teacher (QTS required) for a school that supports students with high additional needs, including Autism, SEMH, trauma, sensory processing difficulties, and challenging behaviour. The school is happy to offer either a long-term position or a permanent role for the right candidate.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Plan and prepare engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to students with complex needs.
* Deliver high-quality teaching that meets the individual learning and emotional needs of students.
* Implement effective behaviour management strategies and create a safe, structured learning environment.
* Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and external agencies to ensure holistic student development.
* Adapt teaching methods to support sensory needs, emotional regulation, and engagement.
* Assess, monitor, and track progress, adapting learning plans accordingly.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
* Proven experience teaching in an SEN setting with students who have complex needs.
* Strong understanding of Autism, SEMH, trauma-informed practice, and sensory processing challenges.
* Ability to create structured, engaging, and accessible lessons for diverse learning needs.
