Reed Finance and Accountancy Lancaster, are currently recruiting for an Audit Manager to join our clients successful team based in Lancaster on a full time and permanent basis!
Our client is experiencing a period of continuous growth and this role is ideal for someone who is looking to build and manage their own portfolio of clients. Our client is looking for someone who is comfortable with both office-based and on-site audit fieldwork, including occasional overnight stays. In return, the client is offering a salary of CIRCA £50,000 per annum.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Build and manage your own client portfolio.
- Develop strong client relationships through effective communication and efficient service.
- Conduct audit fieldwork both remotely and on client premises, which may include overnight stays.
- Responsible for the planning and completion of audit assignments.
- Prepare statutory financial statements from client data.
- Report completed audit files directly to the Responsible Individual (RI).
- Train and assist junior team members, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- ACA, ACCA, CA qualification, or Qualified by Experience (QBE) in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in auditing clients across various industries.
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS and UKGAAP.
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a small or medium-sized accountancy practice.
- Ability to drive, as travel to client sites is required.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Capability to train and mentor junior staff.
