We are looking for a Field Based Sales Manager to join our Client in a B2B sales role across a variety of sectors. This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager to thrive in a fast-paced, business environment while developing skills within Business Development and B2B sales.
Our client is enjoying a prolonged period of growth and are looking to increase their presence and market share throughout the UK.
You will have a proven track record in a sales environment and will possess knowledge, experience and understanding of the packaging industry and supply chain services.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Identify and follow up on new business leads within multiple B2B sectors
- Manage existing accounts, develop relationships and upsell new and additional products
- Visit clients and showcase products to key decision makers
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients and suppliers
- Travelling to engage customers across the north of England and occasionally nationwide
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of packaging sustainability issues and be comfortable to lead client discussions around this subject - training will be provided
- Produce and present monthly reports based on sales, lead generation and account management
- Develop detailed product knowledge and remain informed about market trends and current legislation
- Contribute to improvements in products and processes
- Demonstrate a passion for sustainability
- Represent the company as an ambassador in all forms of communication and meetings - live their values
What We’re Looking For:
- A keen attitude to learn and develop
- Previous experience in sales within the packaging industry
- Experience of selling into distributor networks and 3PL providers - preferred
- Strong attention to detail and a keen willingness to learn
- Field sales experience - B2B
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
- Strong team player - able to work alongside internal teams to fulfil customer orders
- Proven success in a target driven sales role
- Strong work ethic, self-motivated
- A professional, confident, and diplomatic approach to communication and relationship building from shop floor to C-suite
The role is field based, covering the north of England - working in a small team where full product training will be given. The role comes with an attractive benefits package, including £5k commission, car allowance, laptop & phone, pension and employee share scheme.
