Pay - £14.37 an hour
Working hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. On site initially and then Hybrid.
We are seeking a dedicated Financial and Administrative Officer to join our clients Children and Family Services team. This role is crucial for ensuring the development of high-quality financial and administrative support within the department. The ideal candidate will be flexible, cooperative, and committed to supporting colleagues and the broader goals of the department.
Day-to-day of the role:- Utilize local council financial systems effectively, including Excel spreadsheets and other software systems.
- Prepare and certify invoices and salary claim forms for payment, approve procurement orders, and monitor delivery notes for various coding structures in line with financial procedures.
- Support the Business Manager – Operations with regular budget management requirements.
- Manage and control imprest accounts and P-cards, ensuring proper reconciliation and authorisation of payments.
- Produce reports to senior staff and provide advice on policies and strategy.
- Lead on advice and guidance regarding FEEE payments and administration to both internal and external partners.
- Support data cleaning activities to enhance case management system capabilities.
- Proven experience in financial and administrative roles within a similar setting.
- Proficiency in financial systems, particularly Excel
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain high levels of accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
