Our client is seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various types of welding and fabrication work in accordance with engineering drawings and quality standards. Responsibilities:

  • Perform MIG welding on various materials to fabricate and assemble components
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to execute welding tasks accurately
  • Conduct fettling and grinding to ensure a smooth and polished finish on welded components
  • Inspect welds for accuracy and quality, and make necessary adjustments
  • Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines at all times

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a MIG Welder with proficiency in MIG and other welding techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Excellent understanding of welding safety procedures and practices
  • Certification in welding or a related field is a plus

Day-to-day:

  • Collaborating with the engineering team to understand project requirements
  • Assembling and fabricating components using MIG welding techniques
  • Ensuring that all work meets quality and safety standards
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance welding processes and efficiency
