We are currently recruiting a Machine Shop Foreman to join our client's team located in Lichfield. This is a permanent role from day one, and will be working in a friendly environment, with excellent working conditions at their facility.
The company have been operating for over 40 years, and are now a leading international supplier within their industry and markets. The company have contracts within the aerospace, automotive, building & construction, and marine industries - plus many more.
- This is a hands-on role, where you will be trusted to supervise a small team, overseeing the work inprogress. However, for the majority of the time,you will be expected to be in the workshop assisting the team to complete the work itself too.
Machine Shop Foreman key job details:
- Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00
- Salary: 32,500 to 35,000 (DOE)
- Permanent job
Machine Shop Foreman role duties:
- CNC milling/lathe operating on medium to large sized components using XYZ machine tools (training can be offered on XYZ tools if required)
- Work from engineering drawings
- Work to precision tolerances
- Organising workflow and ensuring work is completed on time
- Liaising with different teams to ensure effective communication throughout the process
- Comply with health and safety regulations at all times
Machine Shop Foreman person specification:
- Appropriate experience would be within engineering environments, especially the previous use ofCNC machines
- Relevant engineering qualifications would be beneficial
- Must be comfortable overseeing a team to ensure team focus is maintained
- Various CNC interface experience/knowledge will be considered
- Experience of fabrication/fitting work would be an advantage
- Good communication skills
