My client are a fast-growing technology company working on an international scale. This lean finance team are looking for a new team member to support their wide team and help drive the company forwards.
Description
- Receive, review, and verify invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
- Accurately enter invoice data into the accounting system.
- Match purchase orders to invoices and ensure proper coding of expenses.
- Work with Purchases to resolve queries.
- Process company employee expenses as per company policy and authorisation process.
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
- Prepare and perform check runs.
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
- Monitor and resolve discrepancies in vendor statements and monthly accounts.
- Reconcile credit card statements.
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
- Assist in maintaining vendor files and related records.
- Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve invoice and payment issues.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and interact with internal departments to resolve discrepancies.
- Generate and provide supporting documentation for audits.
- Assist with month-end closing and prepare accruals as necessary.
Profile
A successful Accounts Payable Clerk should have:
- Strong understanding of accounts payable function, double entry knowledge is beneficial
- Previous experience using Net-suite is highly desirable
- Strong excel skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere, with close attention to detail and strong organisational skills to ensure deadlines are hit on time
- Great communications skills and the ability to work across the wider business

- £28,000 salary (flexible in line with experience)
