An exciting opportunity has arisen for three enthusiastic and motivated CCAB Qualified Accountants to join the Newham University Financial Management team. We are seeking individuals who are dedicated, motivated , pro-active with excellent planning and organisational skills to help us provide high quality care to our local communities.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the Head of Finance (HoF) and Deputy Head of Finance (DHOF) to deliver all aspects of the service area (hospital site, clinical support services or corporate areas) financial management. He/she will manage a team of accountants to provide day to day support in all aspects of the service area's financial performance and business partnering whilst maintaining an excellent team ethic.
To manage the delivery of accurate and timely monthly performance reports for presentation at business unit Board meetings. There will be a requirement to support the reported performance with an analytical review and to influence actions based upon findings.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a finance team within a large, specialist and complex organisation with great opportunities for learning and development.

- Three years Financial Management experience including continuous experience in one organisation.
- Management of staff, including recruitment and effective team working.
- Costing services and business case planning.

- Previous Healthcare experience.
- Experience of completing an annual business planning cycle.

- Staff management skills and the ability to motivate and develop staff including qualified and nonqualified accountants.
- Ability to analyse and utilise complex information, determine and identify options and the appropriate course of action.
