Group Risk Programme Manager - Finance - Nottingham/London - RemoteDay rate: £750 - £850 (inside IR35)Duration: 12 months Start: ASAP

My client is looking for a Risk Programme Manager to join on a 12-month contract. This role involves operating in a cross functional capacity across the various Group teams (incl. Group Risk, Group Finance, EGSO) to drive effective collaboration across these wider Group functions to enable the Group to meet the new Corporate Code requirements, alongside leveraging this programme to strengthen the Group's Control environment.

This assignment will be responsible for overseeing and delivering the changes needed to meet the overall requirements of the UK Corporate Code controls provisions.

Key elements of the programme include:- Material controls definition and implementation- Implementation and operation of the underlying control frameworks- Assurance plans for Material controls and the underlying controls around financial, non-financial, operational and compliance activities.- Enhanced governance structure to support the Annual report disclosures and Board attestations.

Key role deliverables include- Board and Senior management reporting on progress on the programme- Programme management including planning and oversight of workstream plans, progress and deliverables- Functional, Regional and global communications on requirements and progress on the overall programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster strong relationships and effective communication channels to encourage collaboration, knowledge sharing, and active participation across the programme.
  • Establish program assurance as a formal discipline.
  • Regularly communicate program updates, process and achievements to stakeholders, executives and board through formal governance reporting.
  • Establish robust monitoring mechanisms to track and report on the progress and effectiveness of the programme. Provide timely reports and updates to senior management, executives and the board on the status of risk reduction, achievements and performance forecast.
  • Prepare and deliver concise and insightful weekly reports to group Risk senior management. Present findings and recommendations to facilitate informed decision-making and proactive risk management.
  • Provide confidence that programs will be delivered on time to meet the Code requirements.
  • Liaise with business stakeholders to support the delivery of defined program outcomes.
  • Provide thought leadership and contribute to the continuous improvement of the organisation's programmatic risk management practices.

Experience: * You will have experience in program management or subject matter expertise gained within a large organisation or financial institution and have a strong knowledge / interest in a topic such as risk management / controls / finance or assurance / audit.* You will have experience in identifying, assessing, and managing program risks across various domains (e.g., technology, regulatory, finance).* You will be able to interface with senior stakeholders effectively to establish relationships and become a trusted advisor. * You'll be confident applying your technical knowledge in a practical and balanced manner to produce high quality Board and Executive level risk reports and to challenge constructively and professionally where necessary. * You will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable recommendations supported by strong communication and presentation skills.* You will be able to implement structured program delivery oversight and drive engagement and collaboration among stakeholders.
