As the firm continues to expand, they are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Payment Operations Manager to oversee their payment operations and enhance their financial processes. About the RoleAs a Payment Operations Manager, you will lead and optimise the organisation’s payment operations, overseeing high-volume transactions and managing client accounts with precision. You will collaborate with the product team to refine and expand tech-enabled payment solutions and support the development of operations in new geographical markets. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payment operations, including client account reconciliations and high-volume bank transactions.
  • Develop robust controls and processes to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of payment operations.
  • Oversee client money accounts, including ledger reconciliations, disbursements, and related payments.
  • Lead and manage a growing team, providing guidance and fostering development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as finance and IT, to improve systems and streamline operations.
  • Support operational expansions into new markets and assist with the integration of newly acquired entities.
  • Monitor and analyse transaction trends, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Professional qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field (e.g., ACA/ACCA/CIMA) is desirable.
  • Proven experience in payment operations or a related role, ideally within professional services or a highly regulated industry.
  • Strong knowledge of payment systems, banking processes, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience managing high transaction volumes with a meticulous approach to accuracy and detail.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team management and mentoring.
  • A process-oriented mindset with a proven ability to improve operational efficiency.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
