Senior Finance Manager - 12 months FTC initially

We are currently partnered with a globally renowned real estate and construction firm in their search for a Senior Finance Manager to join their thriving team in central London.

This role sits within the Regional Finance Control team and is responsible for internal and external reporting for central and consolidated entities, ensuring the delivery of outputs from the outsourced accounting and reporting team, supervising the month-end close process, and preparing essential accounting reports.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and implement approved general accounting practices for the assigned area, ensuring financial and operational reports accurately represent business performance and provide reliable data for management and control purposes.
  • Supervise all transactional accounting and monthly closing activities, including recording monthly owner billings, processing journal entries, reconciling cash and Balance Sheet accounts, and managing cash receipts.
  • Analyse financial and operational statements, providing technical guidance and ensuring accurate reporting for management use.
  • Manage the maintenance of company general ledgers and oversee the preparation of consolidated operational and financial statements.
  • Lead the development and performance of direct reports, offering coaching and resources to ensure the team has the skills and capacity to meet objectives.
  • Manage and prepare the regional statutory forecast model, collaborating with tax to oversee corporate interest restriction, group profit/losses.
  • Oversee payroll accounting, including bonus.
  • Handle NAV reporting and forecasts for covenant compliance.
  • Monitor regional overhead costs and allocation processes.
  • Conduct financial accounting and reporting, including year-end and half year-end submissions for central and regional parent entities.
  • Review Balance Sheet reconciliations prepared by finance managers and analysts.
  • Coordinate with and manage the offshore accounting and reporting team alongside the offshore team lead.
  • Liaise with auditors.
  • Ensure the preparation of regional consolidated statutory accounts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA (or equivalent)
  • Extensive experience in both accounting practice and industry, preferably in property
  • Experience in group reporting
  • Strong team and stakeholders management skills
