Broster Buchanan are hiring for a Transfer Pricing Manager for a leading international financial services organisationThis is a newly-created, permanent full-time role paying circa £75k-£100k + 15% and benefits package.This is a remote working position with only perhaps a couple of days per year required to attend their Central London office.The Transfer Pricing Manager is responsible for assisting with the design and implementation of the transfer pricing policy across the Group following recent growth in overseas acquisitions.Purpose Of The RoleThe Transfer Pricing Manager is responsible for providing transfer pricing oversight and support for the Group’s operations following recent acquisitions in the UK, Europe, Australia and LATAM.Job Description
  • Supporting Head of International and M&A Tax in the roll out and overseeing the Group’s transfer pricing policy with Senior Management (CFOs, COOs, treasury and legal teams) in relation to intra-group back office and management services, revenue sharing, lending and cash pooling arrangements.
  • Being the point of contract for Transfer Pricing and ongoing interaction with International business unit finance, treasury and legal teams to identify areas of transfer pricing risk which require additional Group Tax attention and that the transfer pricing policy is implemented locally.
  • Management of tax risks arising from Group’s increasing international footprint and M&A - in particular, permanent establishment and international secondments. Partnering with business stakeholders to identify intercompany transactions and implement solutions.
  • Providing guidance and training to local teams and reviewing TP local files
  • Reviewing transfer pricing recharges calculations and invoices performed by central and local finance teams and legal agreements are in place to ensure there is an audit trail in a case of regulatory or tax audit
  • Management of engagement of external tax advisers (scoping support and review of advice) to provide central oversight of transfer pricing tax advice provided to Business Units to ensure it is adequate and consistent with the tax risk appetite.
  • Prepare the Group Master File, UK Local files and CbCR
  • Design, development and implementation of tactical tools for TP automation processes
  • Monitoring changes to tax legislation to ensure any changes to tax law which affect the company is identified and assessed for their impact.
  • Support to the Head of International and M&A Tax as needed on other projects
Qualifications & Experience
  • Tax, Accountancy or Economics qualifications (ADIT, CIOT, ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Demonstrable experience and proficiency in transfer pricing
  • Experience in financial services desired but not compulsory
  • Interest in financial markets and continually learning and staying abreast of new developments, good appreciation of economics and market dynamics
  • Capacity to analyse and synthetize large amounts of data
  • Interpersonal communication and presentation to work with senior stakeholders within finance, treasury and legal teams.
