Junior Office Admin Support - City of London - £23,000 to £25,000 DOE My client, a successful development and construction consultancy, are seeking a motivated Office Admin Support for their office in the City of London. If you are looking to join a down to earth firm with an excellent staff retention where everyone is valued as part of the team, this is fantastic opportunity for you.This role will play a pivotal role within the Administration Team, you will be reporting to the Office Manager, providing support alongside assisting the two office secretaries with administrative tasks that are key to the smooth functioning of the office.This position is designed for an individual with strong Microsoft Office skills and a proactive, can-do attitude, ideally suited for someone who enjoys a dynamic, fast-paced environment and thrives under pressure.Key Responsibilities:General Administrative Duties

  • Provide administrative assistance to the Administration Team, ensuring efficient daily operations
  • Handle phone calls professionally, including answering, directing calls, and managing messages as needed
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and support team initiatives as needed, contributing to overall team success
  • Handle post received, scanning and distributing electronically and franking outgoing post
  • Order office supplies
  • Greet visitors
  • Support the Office Manager with handling staff ID Cards
  • Set up meeting rooms as required
  • Maintain organised, up-to-date records and documentation, contributing to the efficient operation of the team.
  • Audio typing and minute taking (training will be provided)

Microsoft Office Tasks

  • Word: Handle advanced document formatting, track changes, mail merge setup, document comparison, headers/footers, and table of contents creation.
  • Excel: Use skills such as data validation, text wrapping, colour formatting, headers/footers, and print setup to maintain organised and accessible spreadsheets.
  • PowerPoint: Create presentations from scratch using our corporate template, with appropriate graphics and effects to enhance visual impact.

Skills Required:

  • Prior experience in an administration role
  • Demonstrate advanced skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential
  • Strong phone handling skills; Comfortable answering, directing, and taking messages over the phone with a professional demeanor.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to identifying and completing tasks without direct oversight.
  • Manage multiple priorities and balance daily responsibilities, ad-hoc tasks, and ongoing projects
  • Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all work, meeting deadlines and producing high-quality output.
  • Tech Savvy, comfortable with using office technology, and proactive in identifying ways to improve efficiency.
  • Growth mindset and keen to learn
