The Company
A charted construction contractor that specialises in delivering high quality commercial interior & fit out refurbishment projects is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver a range of complex and demanding data centre construction projects that are valued up to 3m across London. This is a visiting Project Managers position, with travelling to site being required for meeting & project progression purposes.
Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications
For this role you must possess the following;
- Prior experience working for a Main / Tier 1 Contractor as a Project Manager
- Degree in Project Management or equivalent
- Ability to have a high level of client management throughout the project life-cycle
- A good communicator, able to deal with a range of people, tasks and obligations
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Well organised, self-starter, able to implement procedures and effectively manage all aspects of the works
The Role
As the Senior Project Manager you will lead and deliver a wide range of new build and refurbishment on data centre projects with values from 800k to 3m across London.
Duties
- Reporting to the Director
- Responsible for assessing the quality, RAMs and completing programming of projects
- Lead and complete QA / QC exercises through the project lifecycle
- Project programming ensuring that projects can be successfully completed by the site management team
- Regular client liaising including chairing client meetings
- Ensure all company paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Make progress reports, revised cost estimates, and predictions, and analyse them
- Organise and lead meetings both internally and externally, and make sure that complete records of all conversations and activities are produced.
- Ensure weekly reviews of progress, financial resources, and forward planning, are conducted
- Ensure effective Health & Safety on sites
- Organising directly employed labour and encouraging maximum productivity.
- Liaising with surveyors, architects, and clients.
- Ensure that where activities on site are subject to statutory assessments and recording, that such assessments are made and kept properly recorded (i.e. COSHH, Noise, Asbestos etc.)
- Ensure that trades foremen and supervisors are aware of their obligations under the policy.
- Make arrangements for the safe delivery, handling and stacking of materials and plant.
- Work within purchase/sub-contract and budget levels as determined by the Director.
