Reed Accountancy & Finance are working with a well-established and successful manufacturer in Co Down in the recruitment on an Accounts Administrator to join their dynamic team!

The successful Accounts Administrator will be responsible for performing a range of accounting tasks to support the smooth running of the business. The role, along with other team members, will support financial reporting targets set by the Management Accountant.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Purchase ledger – correctly matching purchase orders, ensuring supplier invoices are paid on a timely basis and are accurately processed.
  • Ensure supplier statements are reconciled each month and payments are processed promptly.
  • Action and complete Month end accruals.
  • Sales Ledger - setting up of new customers, invoicing on date of dispatch, and processing credits as required.
  • Debtor collection and reporting on customers account anomalies as appropriate.
  • Setting up and processing of customer Direct Debits in both Sterling and Euro.
  • Maintain and monitor control of debtors and creditors, including reporting on and monitoring the performance of customer accounts.
  • Assisting Team Leader with month end packs.
  • Provide Monthly company credit card analysis and reporting as required.
  • Action company Petty cash reconciliations and provide accurate reporting as required.
  • Ensure accurate general accounts filing within the department is maintained

The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Previous experience working within an Accounts office environment;
  • Strong accounts administrative knowledge
  • Experience and working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Excel;
  • Experience of working with accounting system packages;
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
