- Leading and managing the Finance, Credit Control & Loans teams.
- Preparing and analysing financial reports, statements, and budgets.
- Developing and overseeing the annual budget and investment portfolio.
- Managing financial risks, including credit, interest rate, liquidity, and operational risks.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations.
- Managing cash flow and acting as a financial advisor to the CEO, board, and management team.
- A minimum of 3 years of financial management experience, ideally within the financial services industry.
- ACCA or CIMA qualified with experience working within an SME environment.
- At least 2 years people management experience with a track record of effective team leadership.
- A strong understanding of financial services regulatory frameworks, including risk management.
- Confidence in dealing with external auditors, regulators, and suppliers.
- A natural team player with a passion for developing, coaching and leading finance teams with experience of delivering effective formal performance reviews.
- High levels of communication skills, adapting style and content to your audience.
- Outstanding organisation skills with an ability to manage multiple projects and relationships.
- Strong decision-making skills.
- A desire to work with a small yet mighty organisation who are focussed on continuous improvement and customer experience.
- Although there is flexibility, you'll need to live in close commuting distance to Northampton as you'll need to be onsite.Â
