On behalf of our client, VTA Recruitment are looking for a Service Administrator to join a family run business in Oldham specialising in the Transport/Engineering industry. The organisation runs a successful business, operating 2 busy depots in Oldham and Peterlee.

Role: Working within a friendly team, the ideal candidate will deliver excellent customer service and hold previous experience within the transport/vehicle industry. As an Administrator, you will oversee a team of service technicians that are deployed to complete maintenance work throughout the Northwest and Northeast of the country.

Main duties:

  • Dealing with customer enquiries over the phone and email.
  • Delegating engineers to customer sites for repairs and breakdowns and escalating jobs where needed.
  • Completing customer reports and service logs.
  • Arranging and delegating repairs to be completed in the workshop.
  • Completing quality check services and updating records.
  • Liaising with customers in confirming a breakdown of costs and managing bookings.

The successful candidate must:

  • Be methodical in their approach and able to work under their own initiative.
  • Have strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Have a sound understanding of computers and adapt to in-house software & IT systems.
  • Be able to work well in fast paced environments.
  • Have previous experience in the industry.

Working Hours

  • Monday - Friday
  • 08.30am - 16.30pm TBC at interview
  • £25k - £28k
  • 25 days holiday per year
  • Temp - Perm
