Signet are excited to be partnering an esteemed organisation in Oxford, in the search for a Senior HR Manager to join them in a permanent capacity. You will lead and manage all HR activity- and therefore experienced HR generalist who will strive to create a positive work environment, while implementing effective HR strategies is what they are looking for! You will lead a small team to provide excellent services to the stakeholders across the organisation.

The Senior HR Manager will:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Support across Employee relations- leading on issues that arise of all complexity
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process
  • Have responsibility for the overall HR strategy across the organisation- both academic and non academic employees
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
  • Manage the reward and benefits offering
  • Manage a small HR team of 4

They are looking for:

  • A level 7 CIPD qualification
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager/ HR Business Partner 
  • In-depth knowledge of HR functions (talent management, recruitment, training & development etc.)
  • Understanding of UK employment law and disciplinary procedures
  • Experience of managing and leading a team

and...experience in Higher Education would be a real advantage!

Please note - the majority of the time (4-5 days) a week, this will be in the office in central Oxford.
