A Senior Legal Counsel with substantial experience in insurance law is required to join a market-leading travel insurance company on a permanent basis.

The successful Senior Legal Counsel will be the businesses first legal hire, meaning the Solicitor will be able to have a massive impact on the business from day one. In the short to medium term, the successful Solicitor will be expected to pick up a range of commercial legal matters across the business and in the long term would have the ability to grow a legal function of their own.

The Senior Legal Counsel will be based out of the office in North East London and will be able to benefit from flexible working.

As a Senior Legal Counsel, your role will include, but is not limited to:

  • Work on a range of Commercial matters across the business, with a strong emphasis on a full range of Insurance Law
  • Drafting a wide variety of insurance-based agreements (both regulated and non-regulated)
  • Set up and implement legal processes
  • Working closely with key business stakeholders including Underwriting, Finance, Tax and Claims teams
