Their commitment to excellence and innovation in education makes them a leading institution in the region.Role Overview:We are seeking a passionate and experienced Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCO) to join this dynamic team on a 12-month contract. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities, ensuring they receive the tailored support they need to thrive academically and socially.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the provision for students with SEND across the academy.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to support students with diverse needs.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on best practices for inclusive education.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and maintain accurate records.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEND provision and make necessary adjustments.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a recognised SENDCO qualification.
  • Proven experience in a SENDCO role or similar, preferably within a large educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively and lead a team.
  • Commitment to promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
