Gleeson Recruitment Group are working exclusively with a business looking for a Management Accountant to join their team and play a critical role in driving financial success and compliance across multiple sites.

The Role

As a Management Accountant, you will support financial stability and provide expert budgetary management, forecasting, and strategic financial advice to senior leaders and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement long-term financial strategies for sustainable growth.
  2. Deliver high-quality budget management, forecasting, and reporting to senior leaders and stakeholders.
  3. Ensure operational units operate within agreed annual budgets through robust financial management.
  4. Prepare monthly management accounts and forecasts.
  5. Monitor performance against KPIs for assigned areas.
  6. Oversee cash flow management.
  7. Review, design, and implement process improvements for month-end financial procedures.
  8. Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and guidelines.
  9. Assist with year-end preparations for external audits.
  10. Attend finance meetings outside usual working hours as required.

What They're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will need to be proactive, analytical, and an excellent communicator. Key qualifications and skills include:

  • Fully qualified in ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA.
  • Experience in a growth environment with a track record of driving process improvements.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data effectively.
  • Excellent management, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting systems (PS Financials experience is a plus).
  • Experience in managing and motivating staff.
  • Flexibility to travel between sites as needed.
